The institute for computational modeling in civil engineering (iRMB) at the
Technische Universität Braunschweig has a long standing expertise in Lattice
Boltzmann modeling and implementation of efficient methods, pre- and post-processing,
computational steering, benchmarking and parallelization of software for scientific
computing. One of the outstanding attributes of the group is the expertise with adaptive
grid refinement for complex problems like multi-phase flow, free surface flow, thermal
flows and advection diffusion processes. Also the group has strong experience with
multi-physics problems like fluid-structure interaction, sedimentation and erosion
and the coupling of thermal flows and radiation.
